Here at OB HQ, we’re always listening to music. What kind, you ask? Pretty much anything goes around here, since we have really varied tastes. That’s why we were so excited to try out the new SlotRadio player from Sansa. It’s a small 1.5”x1.5” device that has both FM radio capability and Mp3 functionality. Songs come pre-loaded onto micro-SD cards organized by genre (i.e. the Billboard Top 1000 card, which comes with the player, is broken into “Chill Out,” “Workout,” “Hip-Hop,” “Alternative,” etc) that plugs into the Slot Radio. Each card contains 1000 songs and costs just $40, so no more purchasing $1 Mp3s or renewing subscription services… Plus, if we’re being honest here, we hated trying to remember which songs we wanted to buy and searching for them endlessly. It even attaches securely to clothing for easy portability. The final verdict? It’s compact, lightweight, endlessly variable, and absurdly easy to set up and use.
