Jiggs Whigham pBone
Have no idea who Jiggs Whigham is? Neither do we! But we hardly care. With a name like Jiggs, we figure he's got to be cool. And so, therefore, must be his signature plastic trombone, the pBone ($149). It clocks in at a not-even-remotely-hefty 1.8 pounds, but produces a sound remarkably like that of a more traditional (read: not plastic) instrument. At last, we can indulge in our dreams of being sultry, trombone-playing jazz superstars without the investment in real brass. It's as if someone finally realized that grown-ups need toys, too. And did we mention it comes in a rainbow of happy colors?
