We can't believe we didn't know about Florence & The Machine sooner. With a crooning, bluesy style that echoes Adele or Corinne Bailey Rae, her songs are quirky, quixotic, and utterly addictive. Her latest release (okay, not so late, October '09), Lungs ($10), has ten fab songs that run the gamut from 60's-inflected pop to grrl rock [See: the contrast between the sultry, lazy "Dog Days Are Over" and the kicky "Kiss With a Fist"].
