If you haven't had the privilege of hearing Charles Bradley: No Time For Dreaming ($5), you're in for a treat ladies. His bio reads like a heart-wrenching tale of a man who has been through hell, but always had music. After seeing James Brown at The Apollo when he was a child, he immediately began imitating microphone tricks with a broom attached to a string. Fast-forward some fifty years and here he is, finally making his way in the world of R&B. Signed to Daptone Records, he gives all the funk and soul of the 60s and 70s you could ask for. He's got the delivery of Redding, while being so current it hurts. You gotta grab this album, you won't be disappointed.

I'm a HUGE fan of classic R&B and soul and funk. I listened to the first track for about 3 seconds and bought the album. LOVE IT.
