Broken Social Scene offers up catchy pieces headlined by indie darlings (like former collaborator Feist) and backed by musicians Kevin Drew & Brendan Canning. The result is a mix of country, pop, electronic, and rock that's absurdly catchy and exceedingly hip. Their new album, Forgiveness Rock Record ($13) features 14 tracks perfect for chill weekend days, like the mellow "Me and My Hand" and "Highway Slipper Jam."

i'm stoked to see this album on outblush. broken social scene is incredible, especially live. i saw them at coachella in 2004 and was blessed enough to witness the on-stage marriage proposal between guitarist john crossingham and his longtime girlfriend. she said yes. we clapped and cried :).
