The Starz adaptation of Ken Follett's epic novel, The Pillars of the Earth gained plenty of positive attention when it aired several months ago. Now, the 8 episode mini-series is on DvD, perfectly timed for holiday gift giving. The Pillars of the Earth ($35) stars Ian McShane (always awesomely villainous) and Matthew MacFadyen (hellllllooo, eye candy!).We say get this one for the inevitable day you stay home sick this winter and need some serious entertaining.
