Available on December 8th, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, ($20) the sixth installment in the HP movie series, is easily one of the best of the films thus far. A tightly wound plot that stays as true as possible to the book (even though, ugh, yes, key plot points are missing that fellow HP fans will groan over), killer special effects, and a fun turn by Jim Broadbent as Professor Horace Slughorn, plus special features including footage from the first of the two finale movies based on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, make this a must-have. Plus, if you've got a niece or nephew who's a diehard Potter fan (doesn't everybody?), this is an easy, inexpensive way to get on their good side come Christmastime.
