From the desk of our fearless leader, Erin: Although it's kind of unusual for us here at Outblush to get personal, sometimes a super way important thing happens that screams for our attention. That important thing for me today is my Dad's last day of radiation treatment for cancer. And since I'm the boss here, eff it, I'm gonna congratulate him and thank him in the most public way I can.
So thanks, Dad. Thanks for introducing me to the Tickle Monster (although our relationship has at times been rocky, he and I will always be friends). Thanks for trying to braid my hair. Thanks for closing your eyes while you taught me to drive. Thanks for storing my lip gloss in your fanny pack. Thanks for helping me move back from Chicago that time and distracting me with your interesting and informative lectures about sewers. And thanks most of all for making me feel like I'm special and great and strong.
Congratulations on getting through this - we were all scared for a hot minute there (and still are, actually), but with a lot of laughs, our family motto, and some much-needed naps, it seems like it's time to pass around a few high fives.
Outblush readers: Hate me for it if you want, but this is why we're so big on Movember. So support it already! Don't forget to tell your menfolk to get their prostates checked and enter our Movember giveaway!

Congrats to your dad! I have a friend going through radiation for a brain tumor, and while it has nothing to do with prostate cancer, any attention brought to the fight against cancer is a good thing! Best wishes to your family, Erin.
