Did you know that the "Calories Burned" readers on most treadmills, elliptical, etc are really stinkin' inaccurate? Not that we're obsessive-compulsive calorie counters, but it would be nice to know whether that 3 mile run earned us enough dietary leeway to eat a big ol' fudge brownie. Enter The Fitbit ($99, on backorder until mid-June). This lil' gizmo (seriously, it's about the size of a cigarette lighter) clips to your clothing and tracks your daily activity via a 3D motion sensor. You can even wear it at night on the included wristband! Any time you walk past the wireless charging base, the Fitbit uploads your calorie burn data to a website where you can track your progress and activity level. At any time, just press the button on the Fitbit to see your calorie burn, but you'll also be able to track steps taken, distance traveled, and sleep quality. Coooooool.
