If you watch The Biggest Loser, then you've seen how insane Jillian Michaels can get. When she gets really worked up, they have to bleep out half of her tirades. But she produces seriously impressive results, so we decided to get on the bandwagon and try the 30 Day Shred ($12) DVD so many are fawning over. First off, this is not a workout DVD for beginning exercisers. If you are unaccustomed to circuit training or high-impact cardio, be careful. Second, warm up thoroughly beforehand. The tape consists of three progressively difficult 20-25 minute circuit workouts you do with light hand weights and a yoga mat. Third, don't feel like you have to complete the entire 30 days in, well, 30 days. Do each level as many times as you need to, until you feel ready to move on. But you will get more fit, that we can promise. Now, if someone could tell us how to remove the sweatstains from our carpets, we'd be ever so grateful.
