USB Robot Owl
Since we can't bring our pets to the office, the USB Robot Owl ($20) can stand in and keep us happily entertained during our long hours of staring at spreadsheets. Just plug him in and perch him on top of the monitor or on his wee tree stump, and he's ready to show off his skills. To be fair, his abilities are restricted to three modes: Active, Mellow, or Sleeping (check out the YouTube video to see this Japanese import in action). We're not sure if his states correspond to the USB activity - like he'd be active when files were being uploaded or something, but that would be cool.
