Dressed up in "oh, I'm a serious artist" minimalist black, the Canon PowerShot S90 10MP Digital Camera ($430) may look like a complete bore, but get this powerful point-and-shoot in your hot little hands and you'll be the life of the party. The S90's claim to fame is its fabulously speedy f2 lens. What does that mean? Well, it's got a pop-up flash, but don't expect to be using it much. You can shoot indoors at night sans flash, thus sparing your peeps from the inevitable deer-in-the-headlights (i.e. bright flash) look. What's more, that flash-less pic won't be confused with some misbegotten attempt to photograph the underside of your dashboard at 2 in the morning.
