The Author-Illustrator Starter Kit
From the genius minds over at McSweeny's comes this Author-Illustrator Starter Kit ($14) created by Brian McMullen but authored by YOU! Or rather, your super smart and amazing kids/godchildren/nieces and nephews, etc. What we're trying to say here is that this big ol' hardcover kit is full of blank pages ready for the stylings of youngsters. We suggest sitting with one on a rainy afternoon at the dining room table strewn with markers, glitter, stickers--the works--and filling the pages with pictures and stories. Afterward, it can sit on the bookshelf with all the other great classics lining the shelves!
