Aside from being a fun party game, Taboo ($29) can also function as a quasi-educational prep for your next family get-together. Introduce your creepy uncle Vern, your lush cousin Gladys, and your 40 year-old brother who still lives at home without using any rift causing buzz words. Cause there are certain words you should never say at a family function. Like alcoholic, biotch, or loser.

My best friend has what I call the 'Cold War edition' of Taboo. It's from the mid-80s and they threw in all these 'current events' type terms, mostly about Russia. When we play with his kids, we have to toss those ones out.
