$50 for a pound cake (even if it is pumpkin) is out of control. From the Very Vera website, it's cheaper- $42- though admittedly not by much. I get paying top dollar for luxury goods, and I guess you can argue that it'd cost more if you were paying per slice, but it just seems like an I'm-buying-this-because-I-have-so-much-money-I-couldn't-possibly-have-the-help-bake-one type thing.
