We suppose vampires aren't the only ones who would feel a little sketchy picking up some Fermented Black Garlic ($32 per pound) to use in their dinner. After all, isn't garlic supposed to be white? We recently ate at a foodie friend's house where she whipped up a vinaigrette with this black garlic, some hazelnut oil and a few other things that we didn't pay attention to because we were intrigued by this new ingredient. We (ok, ok, our husband) appreciated the mild garlic flavor and interesting texture. We think it would make an awesome addition to homemade focaccia and dressings.
