Sure, it's easier than ever to eat gluten-free now that grocers and restaurants have caught wind of the once-neglected dietary need. But baking without flour products is still tricky - and we say there's no shame in letting Beetnik Foods get their hands dirty in the kitchen. We had a chance to sample their Gluten Free Chocolate Chile Tarts ($15 for 6), and seriously - color us impressed. We would have never expected such ooey-gooey goodness out of a mail-order brownie, let alone one that's missing a major ingredient. And don't be put off by the inclusion of ancho chile and cayenne pepper; they round out the rich flavor of these treats rather than send you in search of the nearest glass of water.
