Peapod Mobility
Get ready to do some serious smiling. Chrysler's Peapod Mobility ($12,500) is the brand new car about town—quite literally as this vehicle keeps its speeds to a minimum (about 40 mph). Still, that's a small sacrifice to make in light of a car that emits zero emissions, requires no gas and zips around completely on electric charge. Also, we'd do pretty much anything to have a car that grins at us. If you're in agreement, you won't have to wait long (a few weeks) to get in on the first 25,000 cars produced (in eight colors), with delivery slated for fall. [via]

When you charge this car, how is the electricity produced? Coal? Nuclear? Where is the savings as we are still polluting the planet.
