Zone One: A Novel
Want to do some light summer reading? Colson Whitehead's Zone One ($14) can help with the summer reading, but the "light" part will have to come from a different novel. Whitehead tackles the dystopian zombie genre with a skilled pen, and Zone One reads more like timeless literature than a campy pop-culture thriller. That didn't stop us from being completely riveted while we were reading. In fact, you could say that we devoured the whole book as quickly as we could! Zombie jokes, FTW!
