We celebrated the return of Mad Men with a 1960s feast: a wedge salad, pot roast with potatoes, creamed spinach, and a pineapple upside-down cake for dessert. It was truly delicious, but made us understand why the life expectancy in 1965 was eight years lower than in 2010. While we won't be eating like that every Sunday, we are going to try out a handful of recipes from The Unofficial Mad Men Cookbook: Inside the Kitchens, Bars and Restaurants of Mad Men ($12) over the course of the season. Wouldn't Betty be pleased?
