If you've ever been at a crossroad and weren't quite sure which path to choose, you may enjoy reading the novel The Secret Lives of Dresses ($9) by Erin McKean. Based on her blog, A Dress a Day, McKean writes about Dora, a college junior who drops everything to care for an ailing grandmother. Once she's back home in North Carolina, Dora runs her grandmother's vintage clothing store and finds herself making decisions that will impact the rest of her life. It's a fun, light read that's just perfect for an afternoon at the beach.
