Ever been involved with someone whose standards were more than a bit unrealistic? Been burned by the experience? You could always bury your nose in a succession of dreadfully earnest self-help books and cynical chick lit - or you could just read The Paper Bag Princess ($7).
It's fantastic for kids, too, but you'll never convince us that good kids' stories are only for children.

I LOVE this book! My oldest girls are now 24 and 22, but I used to read it to them all the time. I didn't want them to think that they needed a man to be "complete". And they know that they can "rescue" themselves!! I just gave this as a gift to the parents of a 9 month old girl.

I am SO happy you posted this! I completely forgot about this book, even though I loved it as a girl. Thanks for the nostalgia Outblush!
