We're notorious under-salters when it comes to our dishes. Padma, Gail and Tom would kick us off of Top Chef in a heartbeat for not using enough of the simple seasoning. In preparation for our Top Chef tryout (we're aiming for 2022), we've picked up a copy of Salted: A Manifesto on the World's Most Essential Mineral, with Recipes ($23) and are learning more about the crystal and how it can spice up our cooking.
