You don't have to be a member of a heavy metal band or have attended an upper-Midwest university to know what it feels like to want a bowl of something yummy at 3:00 a.m. Steve Seabury, a heavy metal industry veteran, was wise enough to cull this book of recipes from his fellow-musician friends and breaks them down in terms we can all understand. In Mosh Potatoes ($11), appetizers are called "Opening Acts," entrees are referred to as the "Headliners," and desserts, of course, are the "Encores." These are real, honest-to-goodness recipes that any of us can make, even if it's not 3 o'clock in the a.m.
