Jen Lancaster is, in a word, hilarious. Like, you'll be reading one of her books in Starbucks and suddenly look up to discover all the other patrons staring at you, because you're laughing like a hyena and you didn't know it was at top volume. Her new memoir, My Fair Lazy: One Reality Television Addict's Attempt to Discover If Not Being A Dumb Ass Is the New Black, or, A Culture-Up Manifesto ($12), is no exception. Lancaster's goal is simple: to give herself an Eliza Doolittle-style cultural makeover. She loves her reality TV and Kraft Singles, and admits to not having the greatest of manners. Armed with a team of experts ranging from etiquette teachers to sommeliers to socialites, she tries it all, from stinky cheese to attempting to appreciate opera. We laughed so hard we cried - and then, a la Jen, decided that since our stomachs hurt from laughing so much, that counted as our daily ab workout. Ta-da!
