After our 800th trip this summer to our local yummilicious Indian place, we decided to start learning how to cook some of our favorite dishes ourselves. We flipped through How to Cook Indian: More Than 500 Classic Recipes for the Modern Kitchen ($17) at the bookstore, bought it--and though we can't say we've stopped patronizing our Indian joint--we have started scarfing down kheer and butter chicken at home, too. It's fantastic.
