Fly Away Home
We've yet to read a Jennifer Weiner book we didn't love, and her latest, Fly Away Home ($15), is no exception. The story of a politician's wife, Sylvie, and her two daughters, Diana & Lizzie, in the wake of a political scandal, it centers on issues of commitment and the discovery of one's own self-worth, common themes in Weiner's novels. Her trademark wit and sarcasm shines in pop culture references and snarky dialogue, but she is just as adept at making you reach for a Kleenex at the story's poignant moments. A definite must-read for the summer!
