While we're ever so patiently waiting barely managing to keep it together long enough for Hollywood to finally give us The Hunger Games in all its cinematic glory (March 23rd, 20121), we've been perusing similar-themed YA lit over at Amazon. There, we stumbled across Divergent ($12) by Victoria Roth, an extremely engrossing novel about a 16 year old girl faced with the challenges of being special in a dystopian world. Under the watchful eyes of the ruling authority, she makes life choices that could change the very core of society as she knows it. Sound familiar? It is...and it isn't. Roth has a plot and imagination that's uniquely her own and we couldn't put Divergent down from the moment we cracked the first page.
