"Looooocy, you gots some splainin' to do!"
Tomorrow, August 6th, 2011, would have been Lucille Ball's 100th birthday, and we felt it only proper to salute our favorite snarky redhead with one of our favorite books about her, Desilu: The Story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz ($12). It's funny, engrossing, and a great look into the lives and love story of two of the pioneers of sitcom television. (Fun fact: Did you know that Desilu Productions, their production company, was responsible for "Star Trek" and the original "Mission: Impossible" series?) Sit down with this book and a glass of Vitameatavegamin, and while away a hot summer afternoon... Then go find some "I Love Lucy" reruns on cable.
