Sookie Stackhouse is back once again in Dead in the Family ($10) - the tenth book in Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Mysteries. Sookie is recovering from the hurt and loss caused by the Fae War in Dead and Gone - she was tortured, her fairy godmother was killed, and her first love was almost mortally poisoned. She finds comfort in her ancient but delicious vampire boyfriend Eric Northman, a new bond with her brother Jason, and the normal routine of her job at the local bar. But Sookie is always in too deep with complicated creatures and she finds herself more involved than she wants to be with the politics of both vampires and werewolves (who recently revealed themselves to the world as being real and not creatures of myth). Harris has created a fascinating alternative world where all those things that go bump in the night are real - Sookie is a likeable and savvy guide through this wonderful and terrifying reality. Dead in the Family is a must read new chapter in her story.

Yall may want to check the spelling in this description, for example it's Eric Northman not Erin.

Whoops - we should be stripped of the title "Sookie-holics." Thanks for pointing that out!
