Crafty Chica's Guide to Artful Sewing
We took a poll, and it's official: No one at OB HQ knows the difference between bobbins and basting. We took another poll and found that despite this, we all still totally dig Crafty Chica's Guide to Artful Sewing: Fabu-Low-Sew Projects for the Everyday Crafter ($15). The book begins with author Kathy Cano-Murillo's promise to sprinkle us with "good luck glitter,"(yes!), then details 30 quirky, easy and creative projects for home and self. Cano-Murillo's hilarious personal experiences as a "crafty chica" are thrown in the mix, making for a book that's as entertaining for the experienced sewer as it is for, uh—people like us.
