Bringing Down the House
Before your next trip to Vegas, you might want to settle down with a copy of Bringing Down the House ($6) - yeah, they made a movie, but we'll stick with the nonfiction version of the story - it's exciting enough. If you're unfamiliar with the premise, it's about a group of MIT students who made a fortune at blackjack, card-counting (though the book will explain why that's a misnomer). It's isn't the money that makes it interesting, per se - it's the obsession and paranoia and ego and sheer weirdness on both sides of the game.
