Breakups & Rejections
Our college years were a long streak of serial dating (We liked to keep our options open. And the free dinners didn't hurt, thank you very much.), but the one time we considered making a go of it we got the greatest rejection of all time. After one month of dating we got the "I'm just not falling in love with you" line. Seriously. One month. Most couples are just getting comfortable sharing a spoon in their frozen yogurt by that stage. Maybe if he'd had the Breakups & Rejections ($10) book to help him make a cleaner break his astute observation wouldn't have made it on our strangest and funniest conversation list. We guess he was right, though. Our husband came along a month later and we knew he was the one within a week.
