Awake in the Dark
Folks, in case you weren't aware, Roger Ebert isn't just that guy who reviews movies. Roger Ebert is a national treasure. When he writes about film, you learn about the art and the industry as well as the flick that happens to be the topic, and he writes so well that you can spend hours reading reviews of things you've never seen and possibly don't want to see.
He's been through hell in real life and we're lucky to still have him. If you're not yet a fan, pick up a copy of Awake in the Dark (a collection of his best reviews, interviews, and essays, $12) and start watching "Ebert Presents At the Movies" tonight.
