Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter makes us wonder what Honest Abe would've thought of Twilight. He probably would've chopped the sparkly ones to bits with an ax, if this book is to be believed. Hot on the heels of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, Seth Grahame-Smith has finally written an original work. Framed in a documentary style based on 140 year-old diaries, the book tells of Lincoln's Van Helsing-style war on darkness. Provided you take the offbeat plot and historical re-imaginings with a grain of salt, the writing is finely tuned and an overall fun read.
