Crock-Pot Lunch Crock

The Crock-Pot Lunch Crock ($20) makes us so very happy! We've got nothing against the breakroom microwave, per se, but warming our food slowly and safely on our desks yields much more flavorful lunches. Our pasta leftovers don't congeal and separate, soups warm thoroughly, and we don't have to wait in line to nuke. The inner pot is dishwasher-safe and comes with a lid, so we can take our food to and from work daily while leaving the outer pot in its place.

What powers it? Is this electric or battery operated?

plug it in and in about 2 hours or so your food is piping hot.

Don't do this at your desk. Sounds terrible for everyone around you.

Does the lid lock on and stay on during heating

Can it be used in a vehicle? I mean does it have the proper attachment to heat using a vehicle's ciggarette lighter?

Can you use it in a car cigarette lighter ?

Seems like NO ONE wants to answer the question about what kind of power it has, battery or electric?? I'd like this answered before I consider buying any!!!

From the product description at the Crock Pot site, it says it features "cord management", which I would read as it requiring an electrical outlet.

This crock pot is for household use only, I was so excited about this item, but as soon as i find out it was only for electrica outlet. I was so dissapointed. I wish they come out with one for the where I can use it in the car. My housban would love it.

I'm pretty sure you can see the cord wrapped around the bottome in the picture shown above.

you could use in the car, buy an adapter. one end is cig lighter and the other is a 110 outlet. I charge my laptop like this all the time.

What is the capacity?

Posted on 09.24.13 at 2:03 PM

The lunch crock can work with an inverter for the electrical to the car cigarette lighter. My son-in-law drives an 18 wheeler that has the capacity, but he also has an inverter for the family car. It works great!

Not Impressed

Not all places of business allow you to plug items into sockets. This would serve no purpose for alot of people

its a over-estimated warmer is what it is. it's nothing like its original mother which is cooking and keeping at a great temperature. it just keeps the meal warm after heating for 2 hours and not changing the consistancy or texture. so if you are like me, which expected a mini version of the regular one.... you'll be disappointed. if you expect exactly what I said, a luxury warmer. then, you'll be satisfied.

I love my Crockpot! I use it at work everyday. I'm so happy to not be waiting in line any more to use the company's nasty microwaves. I plug my food in around 10:30am and it's perfectly hot at 12pm when I go to lunch. Best part is that I don't have to waste my lunch time standing in the microwave lines; I get to start my lunch at exactly noon which is nice. I'm so glad I have this because now my leftovers taste much better than when I used to heat them in the microwave.
