Portable Sewing Machine
We're crafty girls at heart, but we're a little intimidated by large sewing machines, especially since they can get pricey and complicated with features. The Portable Sewing Machine ($24) might just be the place for newbies to start. This cutie comes in candy apple red, and she's portable, too. We'd take her along for the ride when we visit family or friends; heck, we'd take her to the park on a sunny day or get a little sewing in under our desk at work (shh, don't tell our boss we said that)!

I got this exact model.... don't bother. It's so weak it can't even sew light fabrics. After two attempts to use it, it broke. Cheap is cheap for a reason.
