Jetsons, anyone? That's kinda what the raw steel chair reminds us of. Actually, they were first manufactured in the mid-20th century (hence the 1956 name). Sold to bistros and bars, the 1956 Chair ($295) was sure to stand up to wear and tear. Today, these chairs are available to those of us who can use this kind of rugged furniture in our homes -- although we don't have to admit who we are.
