Good grief. Takes me back to about 1962 when my family moved to Los Angeles and there was this hideous ceiling fixture in the dining room of our apartment. Picture this lamp, hung from the ceiling, with spiky coverings on the bulbs.
Fast forward to about 1975, when a friend bought a house on the other coast, and talked about how bad the ceiling fixture in the dining room was. I walked in, and the fixture hanging in the dining room was a replica of the LA one. I said she was right, it was hideous. But this was the one her sister had given her to replace the one that had been there.
