A friend who worked at Baskin-Robbins in high school told us that Peanut Butter 'n Chocolate was the hardest ice cream to scoop because the p.b. ripples are so cold and tough. Ever since then we've felt guilty every time we've ordered it and watched the poor seventeen-year-old behind the counter struggle. In an effort to be kinder human beings (and burn an extra calorie and a half before we consume a few hundred), we're buying our ice cream in pints and using the serrated edges of the Top Chef Ice Cream Scoop ($10) to help us get through this hardest of all scooping challenges.
