We could see the The Smoking Gun ($100) becoming the bane of our existence as our husband tries (for the first six months it's a novelty) to smoke every meal we make, especially since Polyscience says the cool smoke the gun produces allows the cook to smoke things you normally would not be able to smoke (something high school kids have been trying for years). Smoked spicy chicken with olives and capers? Smoked panna cotta? Smoked lasagna? Possible, yes, but we'll stick to smoking BBQ chicken, Margarita pizzas, and briskets. We will, however, try to infuse some of our favorite desserts with teas and spices the smoker can turn into smoke. Maybe we'll try our hand at Starbucks Passion tea crème brulee...
