Slim & Sage Pacific Light Set

While we know in the backs of our minds that we should always be taking palm-sized portions of meat, gobs of veggies, and the only skinniest of cake slices, we can't help but pile our plates sky-high with our favorite foods. Enter Slim & Sage. Their gorgeous place settings, like the Pacific Light Set ($99 for a set of four), contain nine-inch plates instead of the standard twelve-inch. Apparently, a recent study found that making the switch to a nine-inch plate can reduce our caloric intake up to forty-eight percent. Amazing! Now we can clean our gorgeous plates and not feel like total gluttons. (We just need to avoid going back for second helpings!)
