Pinzon Santoku Knives and Bamboo Cutting Board Set
As much as we wish our teeny apartment kitchens had the space (and our pocketbooks had the budget) for a great knife set, we've come to terms with the fact that we're just going to have to make do with space (and money!) saver items. We've been using this Pinzon Santoku Knives and Bamboo Cutting Board Set ($35) for a few weeks now, and couldn't be happier. It's compact so we can store it in a drawer when we're not using it, and it's cost-effective. We can get by slicing and dicing most of our meals with just these two Santoku knives. We're no Food Network Stars, but we get by and even sometimes impress ourselves with our kitchen skills. That's all that counts, right?
