At first, we thought this was some sort of colorful wooden xylophone, but nope. We're were totally off. It's a trivet ($22) designed by Alissia Melka-Teichroew. The wooden dowels move along the string so you can effortlessly turn the small trivet into a big one and keep your surfaces safe from scorching hot dish bottoms. When you're not using it, hang it on a kitchen wall to add a little fun to the room's aesthetic.
