Eiko Egg Boilers

We're kitchen nerds (if not particularly adept cooks), so we've gotta try all the latest & strangest gadgets that come across our RSS feeds. Eiko Egg Boilers ($19 for a set of 4) make it easy for even the clumsiest kitchen newbie to properly boil an egg to hard, medium, or soft levels. Pop a raw oeuf into each spoon, then set them over the edge of a pot into boiling water. Cook per basic directions, remove using the cool handle of the spoon, and rinse with cold water. Bonus? The spoon functions as an egg cup - or even as amouse bouche spoons, if you're so inclined towards kitchen multitasking.

I too am a fan of fun kitchen gadgets, but these are entirely too necessary. In fact they create MORE work because you have to wash them. To hard boil eggs: Place eggs in pot. Put enough water in pot to cover the eggs. Boil. When it boils turn the heat down to medium-low and leave for ten minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Ta da!
