I had this salad spinner for a couple months. I absolutely loved it...until the cheap pull string broke. Within a few weeks I could see wear on the string, and that it was starting to fray. Other than that it is fabulous- I kept the bottom parts since they collapse and I can use them as a colander and bowl when needed. They just need to make it with a heavier string.

Well I just got it for my birthday. So I'll try to be gentle on the string. Maybe I'll wax it. That should extend its life. It's tempting to pull it hard like you're starting a lawn mower, but that's really not necessary. So I'll stop doing that too. Haha.
