Queen Anne's Lace Tea Strainer

Yes, it's a beautiful tea strainer... almost as beautiful as some of our jewelry. Which makes sense, we suppose, since this Queen Anne's Lace Tea Strainer ($250) costs as much - if not more than - the stuff in our jewelry drawer. But if you're up for a fancy shmancy high tea, you can't go wrong with this stunning accessory.

I'm so confused as to why one might need a tea strainer for anything but loose leaf tea. The satchel pictured in the advertisement makes the strainer itself pretty useless, unless it's meant only for pressing excess water out of the leaves. I can't imagine it was meant for loose leaf, as the larger holes and a lack of containment would make for a very... fibrous brew.

I love tea and tea accouterments but this has me stumped.
