The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Shampoo
As winter winds down, we're preparing to store our sweaters and cardigans until (hopefully) next October. And the first step in caring for our prized garments is hand-washing them with The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Shampoo ($19). It safely and effectively removes dirt you didn't even know was taking up residence between Mr. and Mrs. Button. After our knits have air-dried flat for longer than necessary, we store them between sheets of tissue paper in plastic storage bins, each of which also contains a tiny, open box of cedar chips and a box of mothballs. This may seem like overkill, but wait until you've lost a $200 sweater to moisture and bugs. Then you'll understand.
