We've been chatting with Inga at LinenMe for quite a while now, since we heard some great things about her kitchen and bathroom towels. As we were ignorant of "huckaback", we inquired about getting some swatches, and were more than pleasantly surprised when an entire huckaback towel showed up at our door, direct from LinenMe's Lithuanian family-run factory. Huckaback is a type of linen widely used in the "olden days" for toweling as the linen absorbs moisture better than cotton and dries more quickly. And boy howdy, did it live up to its' reputation!
Now that we've used the huckaback towel, we're loath to return to the bulky, mildew-ridden towels that we've been using all our lives. They're also super in the washer, since they take up about a quarter of the space regular towels do, and dry much quicker. We're planning on buying some more of the towels for kitchen and bath, and dude-ing up our digs, vintage-style. In addition to towels, LinenMe offers other spa-type items as well as luxe linen bedding, curtains, and throws, which is why they've made our Top of the Pops 2010. Come 2011, we're predicting our whole crib will be Linen'd up.
