Black may seem like a boring color, and sometimes it is, but the great thing about having a black duvet is it gives you endless color options for coordinating sheets and decorative pillows.

I own this duvet cover, although not in black. I fell in love with it for all of the same reasons that you mentioned, but I wanted to give my honest opinion of the duvet for anyone considering a purchase. This duvet cover would be great for a guest bedroom or for a bed of a light sleeper. Within 2 days, many of the pin-tucks had unravelled as either my husband or I gently pulled the duvet up over ourselves, or made the bed. I really enjoy the look of the duvet cover, so it now resides in our guest room in order to salvage the remaining pin-tucks.
